Lori / Canada

Definitely, I think health care should be free. Everyone should have access to ... everyone should have free access to a doctor at anytime. You shouldn't avoid going to the doctor because you are afraid of how much it will cost. There should be universally free heath care.

Eoin / Canada

I'm British and health care is pretty much is free in the UK. It's what I've grown up with and somehow it's inbuilt into me that I think health care should be free for everyone.

Shalini / Canada

Yes. I definitely think health care should be free. From Canada, and we do pay high taxes but this allows us also to be able to enter into a hospital and not pay for what's wrong with you and the services are not bad. You might have to wait a little while but anyone can come in and get treated, so I think that's good.

Lindsay / United States

I definitely think health care should be free. I think it's a really big tragedy right now that a lot of nations don't have free health care for children, and for people in general. I think it's really sad when one child is able to have their disease treated but another child has to suffer.

Chris / England

Yes, I believe health care should be free. It's one of the things that everyone needs so I think if you pay into it a system and if you're a part of a society then one of the things that society should give back to you is health care, if you want fantastic top-of -the-range coverage then you should have to pay for that, but basic health care should be free.

Aki / England

I don't think it should be free. I think we should pay a certain amount of money because if it's for free, I think they quality of our health insurance is gonna, you know, go down, so I don't think it should be that high, like in the states where nobody actually can buy the health insurance, so I think actually Japan has quite a good system.

SCRIPT OF LISTENING FROM WWW.ELLLO.ORG

Jeff: So, you are pretty in tune with global warming. You are pretty in tune with the environment - conscious, environmentally conscious. What do you do to do your part for help protecting the environment?

Tim: Yeah, well, I think I do quite a bit. I grew up in an area that's really environmentally conscious. Oregon is pretty environmentally conscious, so I recycle. It's pretty easy to recycle in Oregon. They just pick it right up at your house. You don't have to separate it. They separate it for you, so I recycle as much as I possibly can.

Jeff: But maybe those are traditional things. Do you do anything sort of more advanced or more modern than just recycling? Is there anything in your life that's more more modern?

Tim: Well, one thing: I recently bought a hybrid car.

Jeff: A hybrid car.

Tim: Yeah.

Jeff: What's a hybrid car?

Tim: So it is a car that basically gets better gas mileage cause what my car does is I have to put gas in it. I have to put gas in it but when I brake it takes the energy created by the heat from the braking and it charges the battery, and then the battery can help power the car, so it's half gasoline, half - just electric energy from the battery.

Jeff: Really. Electric and gas.

Tim: Yeah.

Jeff: Really interesting. So do you have to charge the car at night? Do you have to plug it in or anything like that?

Tim: No, my car just by breaking it charges the battery completely. Occasionally, I've heard of some people that if they leave their car for like a year or something they have to go back and they'll have to plug in the battery and it will charge up, but for the most part I don't have to do very much at all.

Jeff: So that is a fancy watch you're wearing as well. Is that environmentally friendly at all?

Tim: Oh, yeah. This watch actually doesn't take batteries. It's solar powered and so it just gets energy from the sun.

Jeff: Wow. So you pretty environmentally conscious dude.

Tim: I try.
